U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

Our objective is to train professionals who possess the general knowledge, technical intelligence, and the basics of natural, social and engineering sciences which are essential for the practice of their chosen profession. It is likewise important that students acquire the most essential skills in technology and safety, environmental protection, management, and social sciences. Specific practical methods as well as the capability of applying acquired skills will help them to get accustomed to the professional requirements and standards of their future workplace.

Ou programs offer a unique combination in a variety of studies which together provide a thorough background in the field of biotechnology. Our aim is to enable students to be competent in all fields of biotechnology by obtaining a deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills (engineering and technological). Students will have their own experience in laboratory and manufacturing practices. Students will get acquainted with the equipment and apparati used in the biotechnological industry and understand their optimal operation.

Keeping pace with innovation, we continuously modernize our curriculum based on our partner’s feedbacks. We place increasing emphasis on the transfer of knowledge related to data science and data processing, AI and cloud technology. In 2020 the faculty became a Microsoft Artificial Intelligence Knowledge Center. The technical and engineering line of the faculty is developing dynamically. It’s significantly influenced by automotive companies in the area, which are showing increased interest in self-driving vehicles, smart devices, 5G technology, sensor data processing and network management.

Computer Science Engineer MSc students have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge that they have acquired in their BSc course, to get acquainted with the modern trends of Informatics and to deepen this knowledge. They can also acquire the necessary knowledge in Mathematics which is required for their chosen specialization. After being admitted to an MSc course, students do not have to decide their specialization at once, since the first semester is aimed at providing them with basic knowledge, teaching them basic subjects and introducing students to engineering thinking.

Every course is built on lectures and seminars. Lectures are needed to introduce students to the main topics (attendance is not compulsory, attendance sheet is used). Seminars (attendance is compulsory) are the interactive accompaniment to lectures, where students are encouraged to apply their knowledge, and are asked to have additional reading in order to complete group work, and participate in discussions. Each member of the academic staff contribute to the design and planning of courses. At the end of each term we ask students to evaluate the courses and teaching methods.

During the MA studies a number of elective courses are offered which, through a deeper knowledge of special fields may establish scientific interest. In our view it is very important that students acquire a deeper understanding of research methodology and philosophy of science. Beyond field practice there are courses that assure that students acquire skills and abilities necessary in the professional practice. Methodology knowledge and skills are heavily represented in the curriculum.

Adaptation to the changing environmental conditions of social work is given a prominent role in the development of the curriculum. Innovative forms of work (eg Community Service Learning) and new subjects / training elements (eg project management, coaching, professional personality development) have been integrated into the training program in recent years. High practical training provides opportunities for experiential learning and the development of professional competencies. The training program also pays great attention to personality development.

The research, conducted jointly with the students, is organized around the topics of local welfare systems, child protection and employment policy. A new area of research is the study of the diverse society in the big city and the community social work done there. The involvement of students in research is also helped by talent development workshops, where there is an opportunity to join national and international research programs (H2020, Erasmus+, OTKA) managed by the lecturers of the department.

High practical hours of training with a broad institutional background and trained field teacher human resources. The internships are primarily organized in social institutions and non-governmental organizations. Emphasis is on professional areas of child welfare and youth protection, but there is no formal specialization in training. Preparation for research and development areas is strong, with a number of project seminars providing skills development in these areas. After the BA training, it is also possible to participate in the MA in Social Policy and the Ph.D. program in the Humanities.

Theoretical lessons (culminating in written or oral exams) are usually lectures, demonstrations, take-home literature processing, and various presentations and teaching aids. Practical lessons (which are graded) are mainly organized as seminars, where students work together in small groups on solving tasks, pursuing analyses, trying out model exercises, and performing practical tasks. Attendance at the seminars is mandatory and at the end of the semester, course work is evaluated based on a written paper (homework or report).
